Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern the issuance and use of the National Carers Card, provided by NATIONAL DISABILITY CARD LIMITED ("we," "us," "our"). By applying for or using the National Carers Card, you ("Applicant," "Cardholder") agree to abide by these terms and conditions.

Definitions

Cardholder: The individual to whom the National Carers Card is issued.
Carer: An individual who provides care to someone who needs help due to illness, frailty, disability, mental health problems, or addiction.

Terms of Use

The National Carers Card must display a photograph of the Cardholder and other required information to be valid. The Card is non-transferable and only the Cardholder may use it.

The National Carers Card is a form of identification and verification only. It is not a membership service, subscription, or contract for ongoing benefits. Any discounts, concessions, or advantages offered to Cardholders are entirely discretionary and may be withdrawn or changed at any time by participating venues, organisations, or partners. The purchase of the Card does not guarantee access to any specific benefit or service. We do not guarantee that any organisation, venue, or service provider will recognise or accept the National Carers Card. We are not responsible for any loss, cost, or inconvenience arising from the refusal of a third party to accept the Card or honour any associated benefits.

Except where required by law, our total liability to any Cardholder shall not exceed the amount paid for the Card itself. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.

The National Carers Card does not function as a parking permit, bus pass, or railcard.

We may update or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any such changes will take effect immediately upon publication on our website. We may also modify or discontinue any discretionary benefits, offers, or partnerships associated with the Card without prior notice.

Cancellation and Refund Policy for Bespoke Items

Under Regulation 28(1)(b) of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, there is no automatic right to cancel or receive a refund once production of your personalised Card has begun. This is because the Card is a customised product made specifically for the individual applicant and cannot be resold or reused.

Validity and Renewal

The National Carers Card is valid for two years from the date of issue. To renew or replace a lost card, a new application is required, subject to an £18 processing fee.

RADAR Key Purchase

Applicants and Cardholders purchasing a RADAR Key certify that it will be used in the performance of their duties as a carer and that they understand that Value Added Tax (VAT) will be added to the purchase.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
