How to get a Merton National Young Carers Card?

No documentation is required to apply for a Merton National Young Carers Card at present, but you must self-certify that you are a young carer by declaring on the application form that you look after someone with a disability. Only young carers (under 18) who live in the Borough of Merton are currently eligible to apply for a free card; if you do not qualify you remain eligible for the National Carers Card and can apply here.

What does the Merton National Young Carers Card cost?

The Merton National Young Carers Card is free for young carers, excluding postage of £3.50. If your application is rejected you will automatically receive a full refund for the postage.

When will my card arrive?

Your card will only be sent to a UK address in the London Borough of Merton via Royal Mail and you will receive a tracking number by email once it has been despatched. We process most applications within 1-2 days of receiving them, and delivery usually occurs 5-10 days following your application.
